Tasha Tudor

I read yesterday that Tasha Tudor has passed away. She lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving this world a gentle reminder that less is enough. I always admired her from the time I was a small child, enjoying the illustrations she created. As an adult, I was encouraged to live more simply. She was an icon to the world of those who enjoyed the primitive folk art, decorating and life style.
May the Lord embrace her with a welcoming, Well done, thou good and faithful servant.

Her illustrations were so charming. I'm sure she will be sadly missed.

Blondie,
I was raised on Tasha Tudor's books and art work!! My MOther loved her work dearly. I have all the story books and cook books that my Mom collected of hers. I will treasure them always. Thanks for this tribute to a simply elegant woman!!

When we visited the Shelburne Museum in Vermont during the fall of 2006, we were delighted to see a special exhibition of Tasha's illustrations. She was an amazing talent.
