My fingers are happiest

when I am able to sit a while and sew, sculpt , create.  I have been busy making gifts - thinking Christmas, don't you know! I am slowly but surely filling up my gift closet with little sweet things that I am hopeful will delight friends and family.

first up is a lovely summer runner using a paper pieced pattern called a spider web
Here is a duo of pincushions.  The one on the right is made from all scraps, foundation pieced and used on the top layer of the pinnie
ornies are always welcome.  Scandinavian woven hearts always adorn our tree with candies.  Little mittens cut from felted sweater
here is only one of the many skillet holders and pot holders I have been making.  They have been lined with heat resistant thermal lining.

Busy day at work ahead.  Hoping that each and every one is enjoying the crisp fall mornings.  I thrive on it, just as I thrive on the chaos which surrounds my life.

You're a smart woman planning ahead like that! I haven't done the first thing for Christmas. Well I take that back - I have but not crafted. I've made limoncello out of the lemon verbena in the herb garden and am making tiny wool beaded lemons and leaves to tie around the top of the bottles. And I've made some blueberry vinaigrette. Gotta get busy!

Jill, I would love to see what you've done. I need to pop over. It will be a big leap since I am so out of practice here, hehe.
I didn't grow the lemon verbana this year - one of my favorites. You need to send me your recipe for the blueberry vinagrette.

Sarah - pick one and just do it.

LOVE YOUR BLOG! I'll have to check in now that I know you have one.
Haven't made any gifts yet this year but have bought a few items of things I've found on sale. I try to get everything done before the first snow flies as I am not a winter driver. I'd better get busy!
Hugs,
Trish

Hi Trish
Waving here with big arms open. Glad to see you here! I am trying to get back into blogging. It is a discipline that I sometimes let slide when I get overwhelmed with too much. That's the time I watch old reruns of whatever is on and sew.
Hugs!

well Donna, let's just say, when you come to my house, don't look around. You would never sit down, lol. My house is very patient.
