What a week!

Hello Friends
It has been a hot hot hot week here. Betcha it was the same where you live.
And here it is August 1! I am just so not believing that it is August already!
The above picture show is from the August edition of The Humble Arts We opened it up this morning.
I wanted to post this sooner but that is what I have to chat with you about. But first this commercial break -

We have two new faces at The Humble Arts this month - My Prim Sistas & Sherry's Cabin. You can find a link to their blogs on the right under my HARTS links. Please give their pages on the website a good look. They are very talented and we are all quite enamored with them already. Also, we have another Featured Artist this month - please don't forget to read about Joyce of Everydaysies - she is one of the most talented hand stitchers I have ever met.

Now back to the program.

I have been blocked out of my blog for a few days. Folks could read it, post a comment, but, I couldn't update it as I had hoped to. You see, I had a hold put on my blog because someone reported me for being a spammer. I am still not quite sure what I was s'posed to be spamming folks with. But it has something to do with linkages and this post is already full of them. I had to request that Blogger folks take a personal look at my blog to make sure that I was not breaking any of their rules.
Because of this frustration, I am tempted not to do any more awards. I think I am going to make this my personal rule. I will continue to be delighted with awards - everyone likes to get them. But I will not post the links to the sites on my blog. I will put them either in my column and then write each recipient and have them pick up the award but no more links for a while. Makes me a bit nervous to have some big dogs reading my page, looking for typos, poorly written essays of my day, etc. Kind of like Net Nazis.
Now, to the person who reported me, Shame on You. Life is far too short and sweet for me to hold a grudge. If you don't like what you see here, you can visit somewhere else. It is as simple as a click of the mouse.

Here is a pic of my personal offering at The Humble Arts this month. It was a lot of fun to create!

Blessings to all.

Good gracious! I've never heard of such a thing! Eeek! It makes me wonder if I have somehow breached something. Is there any way they will tell you what the particular spam was that you were supposedly guilty of?

Glad you are continuing with your blog - it's so interesting. :-)

Hugs- what a scare!

Scary!!! I didn't know about the linkage thing, I don't think I'll be doing the awards either.

Have a great weekend.

Oh my goodness! What a world we live in! Linking is part of the fun of blogs. Very strange, Sis. I love what you made for HARTS! I'm heading over to see the rest of the goodies.
P.S. I did start my new blog, btw.

There were a lot of blogs that somehow got tagged as spammers, and it had to do with some glitches in Blogger and incompatibilities with certain linkages. In my case, I was getting error messages and Explorer was shutting down on me. The solution was for me to delete the link I had to Sitemeter. So don't think that anyone reported you, dear, because they didn't. Blogger went haywire and it's not your fault.

Thanks Donna. I didn't know yours was tagged as well. I still don't get it. They could have written a request or a warning instead of blocking me. I still don't know what it was that clicked with them. But at least I am able to get back to my own little world.
Big blessings to all

Hi, Blondie, my blog wouldn't open up last night, sounds like what is happening to others. There was an internet explorer error thingie then the page wouldn't load. I tried a few other blogs and the same thing happened. Think it was definitely a glitch. Love your headstone, what is that made of!

How can that happen? I guess I'm still a bit computer dense and don't get all this spam stuff, but how in the world does someone report someone like you for being spam?
Anyway, I'm sorry you had to go through such a thing.
Shame shame on the whoever did that.

I'm glad you are still here. I like to read your posts.

I love your contribution to the humble arts this month. It's a beauty.

Woooo that's terrible. I didn't realize we couldn't link to things...I'm just finding my way around this blog thing.

Glad to see you are back up and running! :)

Oh Blondie, so sorry for the spam-police troubles. How you were mistaken for a spammer makes no sense at all unless you sent an award to 2 million people. :)
Glad things are back to normal.
