What a lovely picture! Here in the UK August is traditionally the hottest month where farmers get the crops in and then have Harvest Festivals in the local churches at the beginning of September. However we've had loads of rain instead. It sounds like you've had one hot Summer and could do with the change. Fingers crossed for you Blondie. Cool breeze thoughts sent your way.
I am so there! Hot weather is not my cup of tea! Today is humid, but it is overcast and spitting rain. I'm sitting here thinking autumn is fast approaching and I can't wait!
I LOVE AUGUST..although..the fact that fall is right behind it does help my liking to it...but I do love August because that's when all the county fairs take place...and I love the County Fairs!!!
Hoping your get some rain and cooler weather my friend.
I agree! And later this week I am having a giveaway to celebrate fall. I just added you to my blog roll - thought you were there but somehow it didn't save when I entered awhile ago. I fixed it today!
Thanks Ladies for your comments. I keep forgetting to read them - and by then they are old. I have to admit that since posting this August rant that our weather has been really mild. Not in the 100's and the humidity has been decent. Now once I hit "publish" you realize that I will have jinxed myself and therefore August will return with it's relentless heat. Fingers crossed, eyes closed, here goes . ..
One good thing in August for me is my Nicholas' b-day. Until he came along every August meant the death anniversaries of my Mom, Bill's Dad and 1 of our 2 babies that died. Too much sorrow...but now we celebrate my sweet Nicholas who will be 8 on the 23rd. I love the crispness of Autumn and the ending of all the humidity here in Ohio!!
Oh Blondie, As soon as I saw your post on August, I KNEW you had to live in a hot place LOL. Here in Oregon, it's been warmer than usual, but sooo gorgeous, I love our "hot" weather! Don't hurry fall in too quickly, and I'll pray you get some cooler weather, deal? Karen

No, no, no. We haven't had summer yet here in Maine. Let's trade weather - you give me a few degrees to lessen your load. ;-)
