A new language

I know that it's said you can't teach an old dog new tricks but I just refuse to believe it! For pete's sake, I learn new stuff every day. For example, I am learning a new language. Actually been learning it for a few years. I call it googlish. Each time I visit someone's blog I must enter a new word. I find it most amusing. That's better than being aggravated. I have even begun to understand some of this new googlish. Take this one:
phently - It could mean many things but looks like faintly to me. How about quatibil -
that one could be trickier. Could it mean gullible or another expletive expression for What? Another bill???

When I was a kid, my folks would speak pig latin at the dinner table. Quite infuriating to nosey 8 year olds. Well sir, we bloggers now have our own form of pig latin and no one will know our secret language but us. How about some whown dical tyang undepre ilicalim to go with your ssesl tohoo cedntes. Reati?

Betcha I could finally win a scrabble game with any given letter in my tray these days! Oh wait a minute! So that's how they come up with these words!

Hello! So happy to meet you through your comments on my blog. I agree with you about the googlish! Mine for you today is "pentinge" as in pent up engergy? I laugh so many times at the words you have to type. I even wrote a story about one, "Prell" because it reminded me of a wonderful time. Yes, my mother was from Lexington, her birth home Belmont. Most beautiful part of the country! Elizabeth

I was just discussing this with a friend the other day, hahaha! These things always seem like they SHOULD be words, don't they? I love making up meanings for them. I think mine right now actually is a word. It's "magna". At least it is PART of a word, right?

Elizabeth,
Lexington is about 45 minutes or so from my home. How wonderful to meet you. Please look me up if you ever get to visit the Tarheel State again. I started a composition book full of these googlish words and have even thought of how to incorporate them into my daily chatter at work. Considering I am a hairdresser to a lot of elderly blue hairs, they would consider me most rude. LOL. Perhaps not. They already know that I am "not right."

And dear (WarPony, how I enjoy your blog as well), magna is most certainly a great word! As in Magna Cum Laude. Oh, wait, that's latin, right? There is a school close to me called Magna Vista. so, Magna is good. LOL.

Thanks for reading and playing along. brilliant minds DO think alike.
