Bonus Time!

Wow, two posts in a day! I just cannot contain myself. The SUN, glorious sun just came out and it is warmish here! Oh yes, I feel like the bard of spring! I am just aching to get out there and rake away all the leaves ~ but I dare not; April is a changeable month around here. I want to keep all my little ones warm until the seasons catch up!
Here are some of my babies that are just bouncing for JOY in my back!
This is the sweet annie I was telling you about earlier this morning. Can't you just smell her sweet goodness??

Here are some phlox that I dug up at my Grannie's. I have lots of her old things. I have no clue how old some of my "Mama's" are. But I do know that I have some that are older than me ~ and that's right on up there with the dirt!

foxglove setting it's leaves . . .
some thyme . . .

my bleeding heart! I have this one under the big oak in my backyard. It is my little prayer garden. . . .

candy tuft . . .

I am aching to really get my fingers and toes caked with red clay mud! Come on Spring! I want to be barefoot again!

Oh Blondie! Don't you just love seeing all the little plants popping up and greening out? I started working in my little flower bed a few days ago, and then we started getting rain, and more rain... maybe by the weekend I can work some more.

Oh..what wonderful little plants you have coming. Sweet Annie!!!! I have always wanted to plant that..we don't have one single nursery that carries the plant or the seed. I really should order some online!

How wonderful that you have some of your grams and mom's plants. That is fantastic.

HUGS,
D

Oh, what hope you have given me! :D Things are starting to green up around here, like the grass and my plants are popping up through the dirt but nothing is in bloom here in central PA. Not yet. The buds are forming on the trees and we heard the "peepers" (Frogs). Spring is just around the corner!

Hi, Blondie! You have herbs popping out already in addition to the early spring things?? That's amazing, I need to go take a look in my Georgia yard, we should at least be about even with you in NC.

Ladies
I certainly hope that I didn't jinx myself and everyone else in my area by being jubilant too soon; yesterday was bone cold, dreary and rainy. Today is the same and tomorrow as well. It didn't dip into freezing temp but very very close to it. Fingers crossed here.
And Karen, you really SHOULD have some peeking up; I have some rosemary (but mine blooms even in winter); my Oregano is coming up, lambs ear, mint . . . just didn't take pics because they are still so bitty and almost hidden under the cover of the leaves.

Blondie,
I loved seeing your garden. I adore Bleeding Heart flowers. I have several in my front yard garden. I wish they would bloom all year long.
I think sweet Annie is just wonderful!!

Here in East Texas things are a-bloomin! I have loved walking out with the dogs every morning to see what cropped up while I slept. It is a tad cool today, but for weeks I have truly enjoyed getting out there and digging my hands deep into the dirt and feeling spring in the air!

Spring is just so darn magical! Our bradford pears are "sneezing" their little white blooms all over the ground now. And the dogwoods are starting to open here too. YEAH!
